Hello,
Welcome aboard!!! I look forward to reading your articles. I was sitting at the car dealer last week and a mom and her son were there (he was about 13). He said he was homeschooled and gave us all a list of why. In talking to the mom, it seems that more and more kids are being homeschooled these days so I look forward to reading about it!!!
Take care!
d

Hi Tammy and welcome to BellaOnline. Sounds like you are ready to go with some great ideas! Good for you!

I always wondered if there was a way for me to Home School some children - to help out children with special issues or problems. Is this an acceptable thing to do, or is one allowed to only home school their own children?

Hello and welcome, Tammy! I am looking forward to your articles!

I have the unique experience of having homeschooled my children for a few critical years as well as being a classroom teacher. I'm probably the only public school teacher who will tell you that homeschooling can be a fantastic option for the right situation.

I loved homeschooling my children!

Good luck with your site! smile

Each state has there own homeschooling laws. You would have to check with your state. In NC, you can homeschool a child that is not yours. NC is also one of the easiest states to legally establish yourself as a homeschool.

It would be a good thing, Lori, for me and some children.

I just do not know how or if I would qualify.

I think I will check into this. I will speak with some people at my granson's school - I guess that is where I would start. I will also call some state agencies. Thanks, Tammy.
