Do you get irritated by manuals or instructions that are supposed to make things clear, but don't? I've seen so many now, that I'm beginning to wonder if anything clear has ever been written.
Tried to write about that... Teaching Music... but I don't know if it's clear either. LOL.
I definitely agree that teaching and relaying information is an art form. It's not necessarily an easy thing! It's well worth "thinking like a beginner" and phrasing things in a way that a beginner can understand.

That is the main reason I have never taken up teaching piano "on the side".
I am fairly good at teaching and directing vocally, but when it comes to a piano - I just know how to do it, I don't know how to explain it.
My daughter has asked me before if I would teach her, and I told her straight out that we would probably wind up killing each other. I get too frustrated when someone doesn't understand what comes completely natural to me on the piano. I don't have that same problem with teaching voice - it is weird that I have patience with one and not the other.
We all have our talents, and that's a good thing! If we were all good at every single thing, life would get boring. Has your daughter tried learning from videos or software in the meantime?
