hello everyone

Just a thought that has occured to me. When did you last laugh with your partner or husband etc?

This is for everyone in any relationship.

I will be honest and tell you that I cannot remember the last time we laughed together.

xx

Last night at our 6 year old son.

The child says the funniest things sometimes, but it is usually when he is trying to be serious and we have to keep a straight face - so we will leave the room and go into our BR and bust out laughing.

Last night it was his prayer at dinner. He was soooooo solemn and sincere, but when he started blessing the cat's dinners we just about lost it!

Laughing with your partner is so important. I hurt for you that you cannot remember laughing together. Maybe y'all should go out on a date to a comedy club. Just take a night out and see something fun. Or rent a funny video - Bill Cosby's "Himself; Live" is a wonderful one that covers relationships realistically, but with love and humor - and I just about die laughing every time I see it.

He and his wife have been together since 1964. They had 5 children and have weathered the tragic death of their son Ennis. If there is anyone out there that knows the importance of laughing with your spouse, I would say it is this man. He is a fantastic example.

Today, yesterday, day before. Everyday, something happens either in the family, extended family, news or in our neighborhood that will surely bring on a laugh.

Skinnycow, surely you can find something to chuckle about? As they say, laughter is the key to all relationships. Thanks for the inquiry. Just responding made me smile. Bye.

We laugh all the time. Sometimes, just a chuckle over something humorous. Once in a while, we have a tickle fight.

Sometimes, we laugh AT each other. Yesterday, he saw down hard on his office chair but there was this hard plastic package on it. He jumped up so fast because he thought he sat on the cat. He looked so funny that it made me laugh hard. He looks so funny when he gets startled that I jump out and scare him or toot the horn when he doesn't expect it. It is totally immature but he looks so adorably funny that I can't resist. I'm infantile that way. smile

We like comedians, too. And we make a lot of wise cracks when watching movies or listening to the news. We make fun of ourselves and each other. He's pretty witty and I love more cerebral humor in addition to the silly giggles, believe it or not! Our adult kids are funny, too, so we laugh pretty much on a daily basis.

If you laugh more, you'll bond more. Laughter is healing. Why not rent a comedy tonight?

Lori, you and your hubbie are like me and mine. We have our favorite shows that keep us in stitches, then we have those with the kidz that keep us united as a family and in stitches together.

For all those who don't have anyone to laugh with, I'm with Lori, get a funny movie or tape a funny show and allow laughter inside your "own" world. You'll feel a whole lot better, even in the midst of trouble and heartache.
