I'm preparing a series of articles connected with the role and place of fine arts in advertising and I'd like to know your opinion. What references to fine arts are there in contemporary adverts, commercials? Have you noticed anything specific? What might be the reason for advertisment agencies to employ this specific method of promoting their articles/products? Any ideas?

I can think of two reasons...an agency might want to portray a sense of sophistication about the product, maybe looking for the high end segment of the market. Humor might be a second good reason to use fine arts in ones advt campaign. Natasha
