We never had a wedding and I feel I missed out on declaring my love for him before my family and friends. Our 25th is coming up soon and I would love to plan a wedding vow renewal party.

The thing is, he said he'd rather spend the money taking a great trip with me--without anyone else--and announce to each other that we'd marry each other again! LOL.

We've been through so much during our marriage and celebrating our 25th is a real triumph of love. It deserves a meaningful commemoration.

But, he would enjoy a trip more and frankly, we haven't taken many at all. We never had a honeymoon either. So he deserves a nice trip. He really truly does. And so that's what we'll do.

What would you do?

I'd love to renew our vows, mainly because everything went by so fast - I can barely remember any of it, LOL!

Plus (this may sound silly) since Michael and Jordan were from my 1st marriage they got to be part of the wedding. Obviously Seth didn't. He looks at pictures of our wedding a d asks me all the time why he didn't get to be in it. It's funny cute, but he's dead serious that it is NOT fair. grin

Lori I think it is wonderful that you want to renew your vows it is one of the things my husband has mentioned as a way of showing his commitment to our life together. I would try to find a way to do both. You could do the renewal on a smaller scale and go to an island that is a little more cost effective like say Puerto Rico or Bahamas both are pretty inexpensive islands. Let me know what you guys decide to do.

I always dreamed of renewing our vows at our 20th or 25th wedding anniversary. After 22 1/2 years with the current state of our relationship I am not so sure. Now unfortunately, I often dream of being single again.

I hope that maybe in 2 1/2 years that will change back.

You never know what can happen. Those years can pass by in a blur, but a lot can transpire.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if the two of you could weather the bad times, mend the heartache and then renew your vows at your 25th? Just imgaine how much they would mean then!
