is there a way to beat the first spawn in front of the baaj temple without having deathproof?

What "spawn"?

Do you mean that giant fish with its ribs showing that you also saw earlier in the game?

If that's the one you're talking about, yeah, you can beat it without deathproof - atleast I did it.

You just gotta be strong enough.

you should of used deathproof!!!!! oh well i beat it easily without and my team is a load of [censored]. Tidus with his special weapon only does 4000

What low strength you got that Tidus only does 4000 when I first got Tidus's Celestial weapon he already did like 30000 or so

what i did was i trained until i got autolife then when he did that one attack that kills everyone and himself one of my characters were revived and i won!
