In these stressful times, relaxation becomes more important than ever so don't skimp on Savasana (corpse pose) at the end of your practice and if you are feeling really exhausted, try to squeeze in 15 to 20 minutes of savasana daily to help you restore and rejuvenate. To learn more about the power of savasana

That is an awesome article! It's so true, people can dismiss that as a "meaningless" pose because you're "just lying there". It is so important to rest, relax, and focus!

Thanks, Lisa.
You are right. It is much more important to allow time for rest and relaxation and focus than most of us realize.

I will try to put 20 minutes into each day, to rest and recoup. I do agree it is very important for health to have some down time.

Shavasana really relaxes your body and mind and also helps you to overcome stress.

On one hand I still haven't been able to work this into my daily routine. On the other hand, at night when I can't fall asleep, I make an effort to have that be meditation time. So maybe that counts?

Yes, whatever little steps we take to de-stress count.
Maybe it would be more manageable to begin by trying to stop every hour or so to close your eyes and take several deep breaths. Years ago I had a yoga teacher suggest that we wear a watch with an alarm set to go off every hour to remind us to just check in and consciously breathe. I did it for a while and it really helped.
