Hi everyone im new so go easy on me!!!!

I have seen the screen shots for Final Fantasy XI And yes it does look VERY impressive. But the only thing i feel very let down by is the fact that it is an online experience only!!!!

To me the final Fantasy series has always been playing the game while in your own little world? And to have the hassles of going on line everytime to play it (possibly getting booted) and slow connections, unless you have ADSL (which i will have soon) just seems like a real constantt pain in the backside.

Now I admit that i am not as big a fan as alot of people on here? But i remember playing Final Fantasy 7 on a friends PSOne when i was going through quite a bad time. I was really down and for some unknown reason that game pulled me in and i could not stop playing it. I was addicted!!

Since that game? I have had great fun playing the sequels. But i just feel a bit let down that the new one (god knows when it will be out) is only an online experience.
Hopefully the one they release after will be just a personal gaming expeerience.

In closing (finally!!! I hear you all say). I think its clever and YES i will probably buy it myself when it comes out? But the Aeons, Garden Monsters or whatever they will be called best be bloody good!!!!

i love it being online ;p since i'm a webmaster i spend all my time online and on the pc anyway ;p
so now i can sneak off from work and play it ;p`

I like the whole idea of playing FFXI online. Since they're coming out with FFX-2 and FFXII already anyhow, it doesn't seem harmful that they are making one of them online. Plus, I find the aspect of being able to play with a team very interesting. My room-mate and I are both going to play at the same time, since we usually have to watch each other play FFX, and kick some serious [censored]!
What we're going to do is buy one PS2 version and one PC version, and just play off the same Cable internet connection. Though, I'm going to try out the PC version on a friend's computer first, so that I don't go buying two copies of the game and thinking it's not worth the time.

I think the online thing is a great idea, however I will not be able to use it since I don't have a fast enough connection.

If I had a faster one though, I would consider FFXI a definite purchase.

you should prolly wait up for ffxii which comes out aftre that. I dled this ffxii trailer from Kazaa and it showed Yuna holding two guns looking hotter than ever (for a computer graphic generated girl that is)
anyway it seemns to me that ffxii will have yuna as the main char which could be pretty cool

I think you're referring to FFX-2, which is a sequel to FFX, not relative to the actual series. FFXII is very vague right now.

hmmmz what I know of FF XII is that it's going to be fotorealistic... but I'm waiting for the legendary game called 20-Ages it is suppose to become the best RPG game ever made you can control 12 characters and choose from 300 characters there's no loading time in the game like when you'r going to a city the camera view zooms in and turns around the whole city and that's how the game loads and you can see your characters attack from a first person perspective and it has like 5 DVD-roms to run, and it can only be played on PS2 cuz PC, X box and others r too bad but there will be a extra disc that'll make PS2 play it or sometin' it's a major product from the makers of Grandia and Squaresoft is shitting his pants now but the game would have been released like 4 years a go but all the consoles were too bad it should come in about 2 years or so as I heard.... anyway thought you'd like to know <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

FFXII has already been released in Japan a couple of months ago. How long will that take to get to the rest of the world? also when is FFX-2 gonna be realeased?
