Anybody know what to do when Matrix So Silver has turned brilliant white hair more of a grayish color? Only left it on a couple of minutes. It has never done this before. Will using a clarifying shampoo help to restore the white? It doesn't look purple, it looks grayish. I really liked the white. Hate to think it will have to grow out. Any help out there?

As the name is Silver, there is always a chance that Matrix So Silver will turn white hair gray. I'm surprised that it hasn't happened before.

Clarifying shampoo should take it out. If not, it will wear out if you just use regular shampoo for the next few washings.

Try shampooing your hair, leave the shampoo in, put a plastic bag around it, and leave it for 15 minutes, then rinse.

With a clarifying shampoo? I've got a lot of iron in my water so I'm not sure about leaving regular shampoo on that long. What do you think? I know these probably seem like silly questions. I'm just worried about making it worse.

You can use either shampoo. Which ever you use, when you finally get the gray out you should recondition your hair. Give it a good protein or moisturizing treatment.

Ok, thanks for your advice. I think I'll give it a try tomorrow. I'm not really up to washing it again tonight.

I tried leaving clarifying shampoo under a plastic bag for 15 minutes. It "may" be a little better. I'm really trying to see a difference. wink I guess it's going to have to be a process. frown I just hope it works. I don't typically wash my hair everyday so it may take awhile.
