Looks very impressive - though the cost may be a bit large - looks like its going to be one of those games that when you start you wont be able to stop - whats everyones views on the game.

I've only seen one screenshot and I dunno much about it. Is it out yet or something - and isn't it supposed to be an online game?

yeah it's online. I dont know much but it's supposed to be back to the original medieval type of gameplay. has anyone ever noticed how it got more and more futuristic from Final Fantasy 7 and on?

Well if you didn't like that futuristic stuff you're in luck cuz I heard that FF XI will be totally medieval, like no guns and [censored] only swords spears arrows and all no techno stuff

futuristic can be cool, but medieval has that sense of honor or whatever you may call it. you can't beat the feeling when Frog slashes open the secret passageway with the Masamune, or when you get Excalibur in FF 1!!

After a general reading of various sites it seems that you get your own continent(i think) and start off in your town city. You can team up with friends, so basically you can have your friends as allies to help you defeat fiends.
The major downer seems to be the price which no-one is really sure of.some say internet connection will be free(due to playstations huge income from games etc) and others say it will be expensive - comes out summer 2003 in theory. <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

when I first heard of the payment it was like this:
that you gotta pay when you play it on-line and make an account and pay everytime you play until you reached an amount of money then the payment would stop and you could play for free, but that seems weird I don't hope it goes like that
