Every time it came up there was no getting out of work for me.

I went by the ladson fairgrounds today...we should meet up if you're up to it.

Today the wind is volatile, trashcans are being strewn everywhere as is trash itself =[

Donovan (dh) got some address labels from the arbor day foundation..and even though they are magnolia leaves, and I know they are magnolia leaves, every time I look at it real quick it looks just like a fox face.

Wendy, if you find out the dates, could you please post them for me? We didn't get to Charleston over the Holidays and I'm itching to get back home, at least for a visit.

I saw a Golden Eagle early this morning. He was just drifting in circles for the longest time. Every time he tipped away from the rising sun I could see the gold in his wings. So beautiful!

Lately I have been dreaming a lot about cougars. I miss the place where I lived a few years ago. My bedroom window faced a small mountain that is part of quite a long range and has a rugged hiking trail. I used to keep my window open a crack at night (locked in place) so I could hear the cougar up in the mountain. The call of a cougar is so haunting yet beautiful, kind of melancholy. I really miss hearing that sound.

Maybe - smile I sure seem to have them in my life often enough. In my dreams, they follow me around or I am just sitting and watching them as they prowl around.

This past summer while driving I-80 from Pennsylvania to Ohio ( a beautiful drive, btw) I had a big black bear run across the highway right in front of me. I thank God that I wasn't just ten seconds earlier in my travel or I would have nailed him.

He came running down the hill, leaped over the guard rail and bounded across the highway. He never stopped and ran across both east and west sides of I-80 without even being touched by a vehicle.

This bear was truly a sight to behold and was very exciting because I had never seen one in the wild like that before and I probably never will again.

What an awesome surprise to behold, Vance! My sister had a black bear show up in her front yard one morning. And the little mountain I mentioned in my last post with the cougar often has black bears up there. One summer a little one came down to the apartment complex and some dogs treed him. He was only about 2 years old, but weighed over 300 pounds. The animal rescue team who captured him took him over to be released in Washoe Valley mountains.

This morning on my early walk I saw about 20 quail. They are so cute!

Maybe I should explain what a Cougar is in case you don't know. hehe

A Cougar is an older woman who likes younger men. wink

Nothing new here, I remember seeing a dragonfly somewhere, I think it was in a dream and it was cast in metal. And that was one crazy dream.

Naw...guess I am not that kind of Cougar! Younger men are not my forte'. I like old, mellow men who are over their "wild-side" days. I do seem to have a bond with the Cougar/Mountain Lion/Puma, though. I dreamed about one again last night.

To see a cougar in your dream, symbolizes wild beauty, power, grace, and raw emotion. It often refers to feminine power and aggression. Alternatively, it also indicates lurking danger and death. Although I get no sense of danger or death from these dreams.

I saw a group of quail yesterday morning, about 20 of them! They were so intent on making sure they kept together and were checking out the grounds under a bird feeder next door.

I saw another Golden Eagle last night as he flew past the "Wolf Moon". It was such a pretty sight!
