Most parakeets I've owned and seen are solid colors - all blue, all green, and so on. However, we have one we call "pinto" which has white "stripes" / splotches on him -

Does anyone else have a keet with that sort of coloring?

Lisa, I used to raise parakeets and I would call him pied...

I agree with Connie, Lisa. I would call Pinto a pied and it does look like she is a hen - although if the colour in the picture is a little bit off, the cere might be a little different that what it looks like to us. With pieds, it is not always quite as easy to determine by cere colour.
I have some pictures of ceres at Is Your Budgie a Male or Female

The line across his belly is a definite pied that is called a 'dominant pied'.
Unsure of the colour. He looks like a spangled or blue factor. they are both very bright blue.

Oh sorry yes she is a she, all of my parakeets are girls. I suppose I default to "he" sometimes which is bad of me smile

Pied, hmmm? Like the pied piper? smile

Yes she's ... about 9 years old I think? I'd have to go count smile
