I am a new member to your forum. One of my passions is advocacy/self-advocacy for people with disabilities.
This year Congress and President Bush passed amendments to the Americans With Disabilities Act. The amendments should improve the Americans With Disabilities Act. Part of putting the new standards into practice is interpretations of the law. Usually this is done in a somewhat timely process that allows citizens to have input concerning the interpretations.
I am forwarding this notice to you in hopes that you will contact one of the parties listed at the end of the alert. This alert was put out by Justice For All--a grassroots disability organization that assists people with disabilities and their supporters with information so that a loud voice is heard nationally and more locally. I would encourage everyone to go to their site and sign up for their email newsletter. It is very informative.
