Next time my family of 7 is at pizza hut and eating at their buffet, I think we'll try to each take a whole pizza. See how well that goes over! (insert sarcasm)
Those guys are certainly pigs. However, I think the problem is really with the restaurant, unless none of the other customers have complained. Otherwise, the restaurant should either increase their capacity, or enforce some etiquette like some of the others have said.
Lisa, I think this was extremely rude on their part. If the lobster tails come out regularly there is absolutely no excuse and if they don't it is still inconsiderate.
Of course I don't understand the pile it all on attitude at a buffet. I fill my plate, but don't have a need to pile it up a foot high. I reason that I can go back and get some of the dishes that I missed the first time.
When attending a buffet, interpretations will vary with the person. "All You Can Eat" does not equate with "Pile it on at the expense of those around you." Accountability lies with the restaurant where this is concerned. It's quite possible these lobster hoarders are unaware that they are sending enormously negative messages about who they are and what they think of the people they share space with. When the majority of people in the restaurant are put out by the actions of two patrons, it's the restaurant's responsibility to explain proper etiquette expected at their establishment.
