I wear SHARK helmets. I love them and they are gaining popularity in the US.

I also wear a bandanna or a buff when I'm on the bike, so the helmet slides over my ears and headphones without a snag.

You have to try them on. If it is DOT approved it is fine. Find one that is comfortable and snug.

Hi all, I'm new here with a quick suggestion. Be careful where the inside facing is sown. I have a helmet and never felt it until I was heading down the highway. Ouch!

You should make sure that it is DOT or Snell approved. Don't buy a used helmet. I wear bell. Many of them come with two different liners, so you can wear the one that fits you the best. The Mag 8 is my favorite with the flip-up shield. A washable liner is very cool too! You don't want to be the stinky biker!

Always go for a very snug fit as the inside padding will always give after you have been wearing it for a while. A full face gives the best protection but there are makes that can be used full face or the chin part can be lifted so that you have an open face which is great for the summer.
