I can't get enough of it...it is so warm and inviting. Copper jewelry is making a come back but better than ever is the coated copper that doesn't turn your skin green or tarnish! I love everything about it, the texture, the warmth, and especially the color. I'd love to see pieces you own...show me your favorites!! Not only is copper jewelry beautiful, and I think a whole lot more personalized than gold jewelry, it also makes good fiscal sense. Copper today is about $2 per pound, and gold is $800 an ounce!! So innovative use of base metals such as copper in the design and making of fashion jewelry makes good sense.

When I was learning how to make bracelets and do wire wrapping, I was taught on copper wire. My teacher said if I made a mistake, it was easier to cut it off and start over than if I were doing gold or silver.
After I had learned how to wire wrap and make a circular loop, he took the copper wire and gave me sterling silver to use to make the bracelet. I had "graduated".
I wanted my copper back - graduating was almost a punishment.

Copper jewelry is very healing to the body especially on the arms or fingers. It is recommended for people with arthritis. It is also a beautiful metal.

I would be cautious about using copper jewelry for "medicinal" purposes. There is scant medical or scientific evidence to back up these claims, studies show that the improvement may well be due to the "placebo" effect. I do claim that copper makes great fashion jewelry, though!

Hi all, I love copper jewelry. The color is just so warm and fits my personal style. I am not one for the super glitzy stuff. But, to each his own. Does anyone work with copper coloring? What I mean is I've read you can use heat or certain chemicals to give it a different patina or multi-color effect. I would love to hear about how that is done. Anyone know? Health to all
