I have never attended a Burns night dinner...Jan 25th isn't it? My parents were born in Scotland....Dad in Douglas and Mom in Glasgow. Mom belonged to the Daughters of Scotia, and I'm sure they attended many Burns nights. It's great to find a Scottish Culture blog here...I joined the knitting blog a week or so ago.
I would love to hear from anyone.....and I also have been looking for a recipe that died with my Grandmother (she never measured)...that is for fly cemetery or flies graveyard...she called it currant cake, although it was made with raisins and didn't really resemble a cake...more a two crust bar..
