Some ideas for grade school age kids visiting London for the first time?

1. Buckingham Palace of course!

2. 10 Downing Street of course!

3. London Zoo

4. Hamley's Toy Shop in Regent's Street of course!

5. Covent Garden shopping and markets.

6. Princess Diana's Memorial Garden and Playgrounds

7. Any more fun recommendations for families visiting London with pre-teens?

By The Way - Congratulations America! So excited for you!

Hi davidstuff - they are all within a few minutes of each other by tube - 15 days is plenty, with time to fit in lots more!

We kept a London travelog of all the best places we went (we crammed more than this into a week!) - and it has links to articles I wrote about other places, walks, best maps, cheap eats guide etc :

David you are most welcome! Everyone is wondering when the Obama family will make it to London and hoping they will like it and have fun. I am sure the presidential kids will want to ride the London Eye - I wonder if they will have to leave their puppy behind?
