For the record, I am a married heterosexual woman

and I think ALL who are capable should be allowed to adopt. Please forgive me if this next statement sounds stupid but do adoption agencies have a list of requirements and on that list is there anything that says must be heterosexual ? I will try not to be gross here but in my little opinion everyone (ok most) are really focused on what happens in ones bedroom and with whom (that is again the way I see it) and with that in mind I seriously would like to know if the adoption agencies ask ALL couples....ok sir do you dress up in costumes and you Ma'am do you swing upside down etc. etc. because you good folks know we can't have that now. Although I do not know alot about the adoption process but I THOUGHT the whole idea was to give the child a GOOD HOME period. I would also like to know if there is a "list" of requirements, is the "list" different for single people ? Now don't get me wrong I do think there should be requirements to adopt, I just don't believe one of them should be who you choose to be your partner in life.
