The other night during the final Presidential debate there was a very loud knock on our door. We were all very interested in the debate so it startled us all and the dog went berserk! My daughter grabbed the dog's collar, I opened the door and there was this teanage girl dressed in a funky outfit. She was from survey organization or something and I told her I was not interested, that we were watching the debate. She flopped her arms down to her sides and said, " uhhh! It's just a debate!", as if it was of no importance and she was irritated that I preferred that to what she had to say. I was dumbfounded and said, "exCUSE me?" She repeated in a very critical tone what she had said and I said, "Well, I want to watch it, so if you will excuse me, I do not have time right now." When she replied, "WhatEver," I just closed the door.

How rude is that?!!!

I thought the debate was very good and interesting. It did help me to finally decide who to vote for.

Did it help anyone else decide?

My dog would take down anyone who he does not like and he did not like her for sure!

Thanks, Rosie!

What really worries me is not that she knocked (and let's face it - not everybody was like you and watned to watch the debate) but that she was out there doing a job and had such an offhand manner towards "customers".

It's something that, in recruitment, I come across all the time in GenY - that if they're not interested in it, then nobody should be. It frustrates me even in one of my dearest friends (who is GenY - and who doesn't even know all the suburbs of our city because he had no reason to).

It worries me that the thirst for knowledge is become almost non- existant.

On the other hand - play Trivial Pursuit with a GenY-er and you wipe the floor with them every time!

Rudeness is everywhere! When i SAY 'THANK YOU' THEY SAY 'NO PROBLEM'. What happened to 'you're welcome'?
