Recently, a story from the Scranton Times reported that many supporters were shouting, "Terrorist" and "Kill Him" when the name Obama came up. This prompted the national media to pick up the story and run with it without doing any investigational journalism (not that I think any of them are capable of that anymore).

This article just came out and it basically says that the Secret Service has to take these comments seriously and has to investigate themselves. They could find nobody at the rally, including security officers and employees, who could verify that these remarks were made. There were also undercover secret service agents in the audience who did not hear any such remarks.

This story apearantly originated from the tiny little mind of David Singleton, a reporter, with the intent to portray McCain supporters as Racist Kooks.

There is a reason you won't see the mainstream media pick this up and report that it was a false story after the fact... the same reason that they are tearing apart Joe the Plumber instead of focusing on Obama's answer to his question and the implications of Obama's answer. Much better to smear Joe the Plumber through the mud and try to discredit him than to focus on the facts and what is important to the campaign. Nevermind that Joe the Plumber represents the middle class/working class worker that they are coveting votes from. Obama should be ashamed of himself for allowing the media to go after this guy, simply for asking Obama a question.

They can't even get the "Joe the Plumber" story right. Obama and Biden and the media are all saying, "I don't know of any plumbers who make 250K a year. Obviously it's a Republican conspiracy or a plant."

If they just look at the interviews with Joe, they will see that Joe does not make 250K a year. He wants to buy the business he works for and that would put him over 250K a year. His question to Obama was why he should vote for him if Obama is going to take even more of his taxes when he hits that higher tax bracket.

This is how the media addresses valid points. Attack Joe. Destroy any credibility he has to protect their candidate.

I honestly do not understand how anyone can support a Biden ticket after hearing him tear apart Joe the Plumber. Don't people realize that Biden and Obama will tear apart anyone who dares to disagree with them?

Biden said in an interview that he "remembers well the plumbers who lived in the town where he grew up and they all had licenses." What a joke he is...He might "remember" some aspects of where he grew up but he is obviously very far removed from his upbringing and he has left it far behind despite his attempts to use his upbringing to help him connect to the common 'Joe.' Remember, he still thinks Katie restaurant is 'open for business.'
