The entire time I read this post, I was thinking of Nicole Richie's transition from "The Simple Life" to mommyhood. It did seem too simple (not knocking her though, she may have actually grown up). Anyhow, I think the point is made here that it doesn't take much to create a child... but its something they will all be tethered to for the next 18+ years. maybe people feel for them and want to make them feel good for the decision? maybe a cultural thing we do to encourage people to keep their kids? just a thought. btw, i am not having anyone's mini-me anytime soon. just as CF as the rest of you.. raising myself is all the help i need right now. don't even want a hubby who hasn't finished raising himself ;0 now if that ain't selfish, what is? (i love it). take it away!
