this is an awesome organization, but surprisingly, it is not very visible to people getting out of the military. I have a link on my facebook profile and have invited some friends who are still in the military. many of them have gone over to the ME several times and were not aware of IAVA. It used to be that orgs like VFM, American Legion, etc were highly visible. I wonder how we can change that for this org. And, i wonder how larger the women contingentcy is in this org......

I think people STILL forget that women are veterans too. I know my family does.

It's unfortunate that IAVA hasn't spread through the ranks, but their grass-roots and social marketing is starting to expand.

From what I've seen IAVA isn't about sitting around in a bar and telling war stories, IAVA and its staff are ALL about getting Veterans everything they deserve, making politicians live up to their promises, and hold their feet to the fire.

It's a different time than when the Legion and VFW were formed, but know that IAVA works arm in arm with these groups to accomplish their mission.

Check out their website for updates:BellaOnline ALERT: Raw URLs are not allowed in these forums for security reasons. Please use UBB code. If you don't know how to do UBB code just post here for help - we will help out!
