I bought a Red Sunset Maple tree a couple of months ago. and I put some red mulch around it. Does anybody think the red mulch would harm the tree? When I was watering the tree, I noticed the water had some red colored water to it from the mulch? Thanks from Patti

As far as the "red colored water" from the mulch, no this does not harm the tree. It is only the dye in the mulch that released during the first several waterings. It should subside after being watered down. Hope this helps. Bye!
