As I shared in previous posts, it was very difficult for me to write this week's article. It required admitting some hard truths about myself and repenting for sins that came to remembrance BEFORE one word could be written.

I would like to clarify something though. If we find ourselves married to Nabal and he IS NOT abusive/threatening your or your children's lives/dangerous, we are commanded to make the best of a bad situation.

As long as "Nabal" is not going against the Word of God, we are to respect our husbands and submit to him (I Peter 3:1-11). For the Christian, divorce is not an option (although many of us - including me - have committed this sin; all sin is equal and repentance should be sought). "Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content" Phillipians 4:11.

As Judge Judy would say, "You picked him!" If you are not in danger, let us try to find joy in every situation.
