It is just fine the way it is... but highlights are good to brighten hair and mood smile

If I did highlights, they wouldn't be blonde. LOL. I've made that mistake. Put Frost and Tip on my natural very dark brown hair and I had stripes. LOL.

Now when this starts to grow out - say in 6 to 8 weeks - I'll go to get my hair colored professionally again. Will my stylist be able to easily lighten up my hair? Or am I sort of stuck with this? This certainly isn't the color I want for my wedding in late March...

I really like this color on you!

I would just get your stylist to do some foils and gradually take you back to the color you want. By doing some highlights AND lowlights. That way the color is broken up more, it looks natural, and as yiour own color is growing out, she can adjust the lowlights to incorporate more of your natural color in.

So many people have hair that darkens through the winter, because their hair was sun-bleached in the summer - this won't look fake at all. It will seem more natural, and people won't gasp every time yoiu have your hair done.

I've come back from some funky colors before, I know of which I speak! grin

everything Miss Chelle said would be my advice on growing it out. But simply put, yes your stylist should be able to lighten it more when you go for your touch-up. Pus with any highlights, it wi break up the mass of color and look more "natural", especialy with the painted style i suggested as it wont give you the stripey (is that even a word) highlights.

Jeanne, I think the color is lovely on you. You will be a beautiful bride!

Have you ever had a honey-blonde frost? That color is attractive on just about anyone - but, I love the color you have now.

LOL. Actually my natural color is darker than the color I have now. Plus I also have grays running through my hair. I was born a blonde, but my hair really darkened up over time - it's almost black now - with gray. It makes me look old... Let me find a picture - Lisa has one on her site from Las Vegas.

I'm the one in the pink shirt next to Jilly...

Here's a photo from Orlando with my new hair color... It's a bit bright & what I've been wearing is toned down from this color...

So this new color is so much darker than what I've been wearing the past 3 years - it's sort of shocking, you know? LOL

I showed my fiance the pictures of my new color - he was very diplomatic. Smart man. laugh
