Hi!
Tell me where I can find this place. Warm all year round. 60s at night for good sleeping and upper 70s to low 80s in the day time. No 85 degree or higher temperatures. Low humidity. 30 to 60 minutes from the ocean but within sight of the mountains. I am not interested in the language. It does not have to be Enlish. I can learn something new to broaden my world view.

If you have a place in mind, can you include a web site so I can see what it looks like?

Jim,

this honestly reminds me of Hawaii - the island of Oahu.

My 1st husband was in the Army and we were stationed there, and other than a short rainy season in December - it pretty much sounds exactly what you described.

The city of Mililani is a very nice residential area. It is more towards the center of the island - so is not aas touristy as Honolulu or any of the beaches are going to be. But Oahu is not that big, so living in the middle of the island - the beach is still only 30 minutes away!

The only problem is it is expensive to live there.

I've heard that San Diego is nice all year round with moderate temperatures and close to the beach. Expensive too.

Hi - Thanks for the tip. I know a guy who moved to Hawaii (Oahu) in the 80s who used to live in CO. And then I used to work with a woman and she and her husband moved there just last month.
Oh - I am not worried about the money. I have been investing $1 on Wednesday and $1 on Saturday and I plan to win the Powerball, so money will not be a problem. wink

Thanks for the suggestion about San Diego. I made two trips there in the 90s. Do you know anything about the little town just south of San Diego in Mexico called Ensenada? I am thinking it might have the same weather as San Diego but might be a little cheaper to live there. Any idea about it?
Thanks again,

Sounds like you might have been stationed at Schofield Barracks, is that a good guess? What year were you there?

Yes! 25th Infantry, lightning strawberry, LOL.

Although he was a helicopter pilot so actually worked off of Wheeler Army Airfield.

We were there from 1990 - 93. Our oldest son was born there at Tripler. (He loves the fact that he has such an unusual birth certificate!)
