Hey everyone,

So a couple of my girlfriends are really serious about only using all natural beauty products on their skin. At first I didn't really care as long as it got the job done, but my friend turned me to the Duchess Beauty website which has some great all natural products. I ordered the honey citrus sugar scrub and the exfoliating facial polish and I have to say that it's amazing! It makes my skin so soft and fresh, and the sugar scrub smells delicious too!

I know a lot of people are looking for some natural products so I thought I'd share my discovery with you smile

You still should be careful and read the labels on the skin care products. Calling something "natural" these days doesn't really mean that much. If it's 100% certified organic, then it has to be that but calling it natural, a product can still have lots of undesirable chemicals in them.

I agree with Green1. If a product is truly all natural, then it will have an expiration date that will be within the next few weeks. Products that are all natural do not have a long shelf life because they are made from fresh ingredients. The best all natural products are the ones that you can make in your kitchen.

I have to add that I don't agree that all-natural always needs an expiration date.

Things like salt and sugar are all natural and will never "expire" unless contaminated or infiltrated by something else.

And, honey never spoils.

Plus, expiration dates apply even with some items that have added preservatives.

Finally, just because something is natural does not mean it is good for your skin.

Green1 that is so true. A local lady has been investigating "organic" beauty products available in the Australian market that are finding loopholes. She found 90% of the products hadnt even been tested on humans and they are on the market. It is amazing what you see when you look.

hello everyone,
This is good advice and there is a book called "Consumers Dictionary of Cosmetic Ingredients" by Ruth Winter. I found it to be a real eye opener for what they put in "natural" cosmetics as well as the department store lines.

I have worked in the health food industry for many years, and "natural" is a very over-used word. People seemed to have reactions to things like parabens, waxes and whatever else you can't pronounce the name of!
