Hi,
I've been observing this forum for a few months and finally decided to post. I'm 28, been married for 3 years, and planning to have children sometime in the future. I've always wanted children (so does my husband), but just not as soon as everyone around us. I honestly feel like the entire world has gone pregnant or had a baby in the last 2 years.

I see that most of the members here choose to be CF for life. I truly honor your decisions. You all appear to lead very fulfilling lives, and we too, are enjoying our married with no kids years. It just feels like all the folks we meet got married IN ORDER to have kids. We just want to enjoy these interim years first, and we're just not feeling the love.

Thanks for reading!

Right on! I always wonder why people have kids so fast too. I've heard a lot of people say why did you get married if you aren't going to have kids? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard! Um, because we love each other and want to spend our lives together?

CF for now is a complete oxymoron.
Sorry

I agree, lisegirl. I think the right phrase is "Childless for now" as childless implies not having a child(ren) at the moment.

But kudos to you, alienated (which you shouldn't feel!), for waiting. Having children is not something to rush into.
