Every war can oftentimes be associated with the popular music of the era. Think Vietnam and how movies portraying it always have a great soundtrack. The same holds true for what our military is listening to in Iraq and Afghanistan and around the world.

What's the soundtrack to your war? What song or album or band got you through the tough times and hearing it now can bring you back?

This article outlines one band in time for me...

his favorite song at that time was "Sunday Will Never Be The Same"-By Spanky & Our Gang late 67 or early 68. None of us knew that Sundays would never be the same again.

his song which reminded him of his girl back home was "On The Expressway To Your Heart"-By The Soul Survivers 68-they are 2 of my favorites now & always--

Dan,

Thank you for your service and for sharing these songs and honoring the men who loved to hear them in Vietnam. RIP Robt. L. and John B.
