Well, I have three callings and my husband has zero. Yep, you read that right he has zero, okay, I will give the guy some slack. He is going to school full-time as well as working way over full-time, he's salary so they work him to death!!! He was teaching early morning seminary, until he started back to school, and then they released him. I teach the youth sunday school class ages 14-18, I am the Activities Day Girls Leader, and I am on the activities committee! Something for just about every event!

i have a calling to be an educator, speaker, advocate, and counselor.

I do these things in different parts now, and feel they were part of the reason I was born. I have always been drawn to them and am glad as an adult I have the opportunity to persue them.

this is something i have really been torn about lately.

I have always felt the pull of music, especially music education - I never enjoyed myself more than when I directed the children's choir at my church.

But over the last few years I have been feeling very drawn to counseling - especially to family counseling and rape/abuse.

I will finally get to go back to school in a couple of years - so I will have to make my decision by then.

My callings are Ward Family History Consultant and 4th Sunday Relief Society Teacher. I always get so nervous teaching. But everyone seems to like my teaching. I am amazed at how the Lord takes over during a lesson. If I have prepared and done my part, He takes over and directs me what to say and when.
I just taught last Sunday and just before I taught He showed me something in the lesson that I needed to emphasize and I understood exactly how to do it in that very second. It was really a testimony builder to me about teaching with the Spirit. It was really cool! I give HIM total credit. It really isn't me doing the teaching at all!

I am assistant librarian which is ironic since I am a librarian by profession.

Sounds like your husband's callings are providing for his family! It's a huge responsibility that far too many guys skip out on in our day and age - I wouldn't take it lightly! :-)

I'm called to work with women and babies. I love teaching women some of the things they can expect through the months of pregnancy and in the childbirth process so it isn't as difficult a transition.

Great topic!

Blessings,

Hi, Janice! What a great question - wish I'd seen it earlier! You'll have to tell us how things went. I've seen some great teachers and one way they keep interest in any venue is to get everyone involved with group activities, looking through the scriptures, quiet thinking or writing moments, etc. The lessons can be really thought-provoking that way. And you're right, how challenging to do this! smile
