Lisa, that is great that your endurance is still high! I also think it's a great idea to make the basement space more appealing, like it sound like you are doing. A nicer area is used more often. smile

DH and i were talking about making our guest room into a yoga studio but we decided we like being able to host family and friends for once, w/o having to make them camp on the couch. I wish i had a basement to transform like you do!

Well again it's just one stripe in the basement, it's hardly a whole room smile It's just enough space for the little TV on a shelf and the square mat in front of it smile But I put my japanese screens behind the TV, and my Tibetan prayer flags on that, so at least when I'm looking at the TV itself I have a nice backdrop.

It's harder with yoga because a yoga mat is much bigger than the DDR square mat, and also you need room "around" it. With the DDR mat, that one square is all you need because you're always vertical above it.

that sounds nice though, even just the small area. Maybe you can clear out more room eventually to make a yoga space.

Well the dance stripe is right next to the bowflex machine which takes up a fair portion of that area. So there isn't much room to expand.

I think once we get the various rooms cleared out that the guest room / James' room which has a TV in it will be fine for yoga, the mat can go right in front of the TV there. I just need to do some more cleaning first because when James isn't over that room turns into a giant storage area. So once we have no "junk to store" it'll be perfect smile

I think that sounds lovely. what items do you keep in the room for guest/James? a bed, bureau or what?

i have not room in my guestroom for both a bed and a yoga mat which is why i am asking.

Log - did an hour yoga class this morning and plan to do some twisting to Buffy tonite.

Well remember we are game reviewers smile So the room is wall to wall bookcases with Wii games, GameCube games, PS2 games, PS3 games, computer games - plus tons of dungeons & dragons books, Nodwick magazines, Cranium games, and much more. There's a queen sized bed in here, plus the TV, plus a PS3, a Wii, a Rock Band full set of drums and 2 guitars, 2 more guitars for other games, an XBox, a N64 and random gear for all the systems.

I'm sitting in here right now with James, he's playing Metal Gear Online. So we have the wireless router too.

Plus 2 Furbies smile Old Style and New Style.

Yes James has friend over right now and I put them to work reviewing games smile No rest for the weary ...

I have been doing yoga any time I'm standing, but no "real" workout recently. Hopefully tonight I'll get to play with the Wii Fit game!

treadmill on 18, 19, 20, with yoga mixed in. Working on my handstands - I have a wall variation that i am working on and it's getting me closer.

Also trying to get my headstand away from the wall.

Rest day was monday.

Tuesday did 26 minutes of treadmill and 35 minutes yoga while watching HGTV.
