Just read with pleasure the article on swinging meditation. I have felt that when I crochet a repetitive pattern, I am meditating. I also believe that I put positive energy into what I make. Does anyone else feel this way?

Hi rainbowridergrma,

Thanks for your comment - here is the URL to the swinging meditation:

I also feel when I lovingly knit for my newest grandchild I am imbuing the article with love.

DH and I received a hand crocheted afghan from my sister for our wedding and everytime I use it - it is folded on the couch - I think of all the time she put into making it. It is a positive feeling.

I'd call these caring projects meditation in service.

Meditation in Service is a nice way to think of it. Most of the things I make, I sell, and they are mainly baby things. I have a sign that says "Made for Baby with Love", which is easier to display than "Made for Baby with Caring and Respect". I love to see couples expecting a baby and they are happy and excited about it. I guess I share their joy.
