I want to get a Bissel carpet shampooer. My Cockatiel has the run of the house. I'm concerned about any effects on his health. And what about using floor waxes (i.e. Mop and Glo)? (I would put him in a separate room during and until the floors are dry, ventilating the house too.)

I am sure you are aware of the dangers of scented products around your bird. I don't have any personal experience with either the bissell shampoo or mop & glo, but I would think that as long as you put your cockatiel in a well ventillated room until the products have dried, it should be ok.
