Thanks! I feel good about it. When we first started in, what, April, I could not go a few hours. I am still unclear about what a complaint is but i am taking it on a case by case basis. Sometimes it feels good to be grumpy, so we shall see how i handle it when that comes around.

That's an interesting point - I think for me it feels good to let out frustrations. And the book definitely says not to bottle things in. But it's hoping over time that you don't get to the frustrated point in the first place, so that there is no need for the release of grumping around to get it back out of you again That was the state I was in last night when we were assembling the desk, I just took off the bracelet because I was grumpy about what was going on and I felt better letting it out. But in a saner world I wouldn't have let myself get that worked up in the first place over something that, in the end, was quite solvable.

If I may say so, Mindfulness is precisely what all this is about. It doesn't really matter what we use to keep ourselves Mindful (Thich Nhat Hahn recommends taping a leaf, or a blade of grass to the doors we use every day) but whatever gadget, memento, or reminder we use, the trick is to not become complacent. so sometimes we need to change our reminders... hence putting them from one wrist to the other. Vigilance and alertness, to the event BEFORE it occurs, is the key to taming the mind.
This is why we know it all begins in our head, with what we tell ourselves. Over time, we develop a practice that is sincere and Mindful.

Yup practice is definitely the key here! I think I went all day without complaining today, and I felt very happy and calm and like progress was being made. There was a big sale at Michaels so Bob and I got all sorts of cool crafting supplies! And we even went to a chicken buffet dinner with a friend. So a very nice evening

My book came in from the library order yesterday! i am already halfway through it. it's a quick read. Lots of stuff i already know about thinking positive and the law of Attraction, but I can skim over that for the ideas on Conscious Incompetence and such.

That's great that you got the book Jilly! Yes definitely like many of these books there is a lot of "common ground" - which makes sense. They are all talking about living peacefully. Sometimes it helps to read the same material a few different ways to get it to sink in

Note - if you go to the website, you have to use Acomplaintfreeworld.org with the "a"...complaintfreeworld.org goes to someone else's site. Also, there is now a small shipping charge for a set of two complaint free bands and it's a dollar a band after that in sets of five: http://www.complaintfreeworld.biz/13frbr.htmlThey were getting deluged with freebie site people.

I was wondering if that would happen, if scammers would just start to order tons because they could and then resell them at festivals and such. That's a shame, but still, it's really inexpensive.
I do agree it's a nice book to re-read, and I'm glad I got a real copy of that and not a Kindle copy. I'm handing it around to friends.
