I'm back from my sabbatical!!

I just posted a new article on some ideas for entertaining kids. I figured if some of you were spending time with kids this summer (nieces, nephews, etc) you might not know what to do with them!

Read this article for some ideas!

Kim,

I use to love your articles..but I cannot relate to articles "entertaining kids".

And as always, let me know if there is anything you'd like to see an article about at Married No Kids.

I would of loved to seen articles NOT relating to kids????

I kind of agree with Jzel... I'd kind of like to see more articles that do not relate to kids.

I'm sorry you don't like that article, but I thought it would be helpful for those of us who are going to be spending some time with other people's kids this summer. Seemed like some practical advice, since I have no idea what to do with kids when they come to visit me.

Great article, Kim!

I wanted to say I'd add "sprinkler play" to the list. One of my personal favorites for summertime is turning on the sprinkler & running through it. Now, you don't have to have a kid to play in the sprinkler, but it certainly helps.

And, it's a great way to wash off watermelon juice and popsicle drips. (Again, kids not really necessary, but. . .!)

Oh, and many dogs also love to play in the sprinkler. My Lab likes to "bite" and wrestle the water.

I actually enjoy time with my nieces - that gives me the incentive to do things like go to the zoo, which i certainly COULD do on my own but never seem to.

my favorite way to entertain with children is to cut them into bite-sized pieces and dip them in melted cheese sauce...........
OH! you said entertaining FOR children!!!! nevermind.

My DH and I certainly don't want to think about how to entertain kids. How about a list of potential things to do to ensure people take annoying kids away quickly?

1. Stick them in front of the TV and put porn on.

Any other suggestions?

I like the article, I just can't relate as I'm never going to entertain them(The only family members w/kids live on the other side of the country)..

@LadyLvsNyt: Oh my god, that made me choke on my coffee. Haha..
