Little hard to find, Poltical and Very Busy site. Slow with too many special effects. What's next MUSIC? Annoying Logo that does not go away too. When it does we have a LAMP? Is that the item forsale?

Please at least view some Web Sites and review what not to do.

Adorable line! These girls are very talented. Beautifully designed site, cool logo (with an awesome explanation behind it,) great accessories. (The lovely chandelier is clearly a prop.) I can see up to age 30 appropriately wearing these fashions, so I like that they have a classic feel. (If the dress were a tad longer, the age group would go into the 40's!) I really like the very affordable prices, too. smile

The only other thing I would like to see are more articles of clothing!

Great job!

thanks for your input! The site is modeled off of
Huffingtonpost.com and NewYorktimes.com.Our format is very similar to theirs. There is a team of Michigan high school teens and middle school students that update the website weekly and add updates about the US 2008 Election, Entertainment, events around the world etc. The primary goal, is to get teens thinking more about their world. For example, HPV affects teens as young as 9. Its not some abstract idea its tangible. For some reason being "intellectual" or brainy is uncool or a travesty of some sort. We are trying to change that.
In regards to the slowness, we think its due to the videos. However, videos increase traffic and visitor stay--double edge sword.

The site may run slow because of the videos we added. However, videos increase traffic and visit duration.

Thanks so much for the compliments!! What state are you from? Do you think any girls (11-17) in your state would be interested in purchasing any of the items? And if you don't mind if I pick your brain: How would do you think we could get the word out about the line, especially in your state. Thanks! Look forward to hearing from you.

Are the clothes and accessories made by the students? They are pretty. Kudos to them. smile

The layout of the website though is a bit confusing for me. Dataman has a point. I've read a few of its contents, which are good, and I believe that this is a good project. Improve on the presentation itself. You can take layout samples from blog templates (huffingtonpost.com looks like a blog to me) and go from there.

Good luck! smile

Hi Intellect,
I'm from Vermont, where fashion isn't huge among adults, but the younger crowd wants to look stylish.

As far as marketing up here, perhaps you could get a list of privately owned boutiques, particularly in Burlington, which is a college town (home of University of Vermont,) and in Montpelier, which is the State Capitol, and see if you can place some items in their shops. Shopping local is big up here, and lots of people won't go to places like Walmart, unless they have to.

Good luck!
Shay
