My bedroom is the one that my daughter used to have and she painted it black and white - opposite walls back with the ceiling and alternate walls white. The carpet is - guess what - black too. I've been working on the rest of the house and am finally getting around to painting this becroom. I'm going with 2 shades of orange (not pumkin orange, but paler). So far I have the white walls covered, but still don't know for sure how many coats it will take to cover the black walls. Two coats don't do it, but its getting there - LOL. When the painting is dones, I'll see what I can find for a carpet and curtains (black also - LOL).

My bedroom walls are a soft deep dusty rose. The paint is made up of a can of beigh and a can of pink paint. It's a homemade custom color. It's very serene and comforting. I have white lace curtains and ruby red valances with red beads and a deep red paisley bedspread. I have a moss green rug on hardwood floors.

My bedroom walls are a soft green called Fern with white trim and hardwood floors. The windows have white wood shutters topped with valances made from a floral/rose pattern on a rose/red background; the colors in it are the same green as teh walls, a bit of yellow, white and pink. For summer, I have a yellow chenile spread, but I use a comforter in winter covered with a white and light green plaid. I ended up with a green room due to a mishap. The valence fabric was to be used in the living room, which is yellow. But once the first one was made, I realized it looked horrible with yellow walls. To salvage te project, I painted the bedroom to match the fabric. The living room windows have remained valence-free.

My bedroom has bare hardwood floors. Light. My walls are Nestle Quik. Love it.

Our bedroom walls are a pale yellow left over from the previous owners - after 13 years we still haven't changed it. It's actually nice and restful, I don't even notice them as "colored".
We have dark blue curtains and a blue dreamcatcher hanging up, so I suppose sort of a native American theme going on. On the other hand we have a red calligraphy of "Love" in Japanese, and a pair of Japanese style lamps on the bed headboard, so it's an eclectic mix. Oh and my Japanese sword trio on the side dresser.
The rest of the items (bed etc) are all a neutral wood color.

LOL - I gave my husband a heart attack while I was painting our bedroom.
I used one of those "sponging" rollers that gives you the mottled look.
And the underneath tone are two moss green colors, one dark one light.
My husband walked in and goes "oh my lord, you've painted the room in camouflage."
I told him i wasn't finished and chased him out. My final step was to sponge a gold overlay on it. It totally transforms the "camouflage". Now people look at my room and think it is wall paper.

The greens with gold overlay sounds lovely. A show on HGTV did someting similar with lavender and silver overlay. I loved it and am thinking of trying it in a bothroom. Everything in the bathroom is grey - counter, tub, shower tiles, and toilet. It's leftover from the previous owner, and we really don't want to redo the entire room.
