Yes, now we have a second drug to help with our pain, Cymbalta. What do you think about that? Has anyone been using it? Tell us about it.

I have been using Cymbalta since before it as recognized as a drug for Fibro. I find it works very well, and it does help with my pain.

What is the other drug you mention that has been prescribed for this condition?

I have just switched from Zoloft to Cymbalta. Dr thinks we should try this to see if it's going to work better. After 3 weeks, my moods are fine, no change in pain levels though. I hope to drop some of the Zoloft weight-gain. My son (26 yo) is taking Cymbalta and it's been a miracle drug for him.

The first was Lyrica, an anticonvulsant that works on nerve pain and is a controlled substance.

Lyrica is the other drug which is what I am taking and it does not seem to work. I am newly diagnosed but I've had fibromyalgia since 2001 per a Neurologist that I saw a year after I was in a car accident. Do you have any suggestions in how to cope with this?
