Question-

I went on a first date with a guy last saturday. We seemed to have a good time, he said We should do this again. Then in the middle of last week he emails me to see how I am, we emailed back and forth, and he signs the email "Speak Soon!"

I haven't heard from him since. Should I call him, or should I wait for him to call me? My grandfather once said "It's not your job to chase them!" to me, and all of the self-help books seem to recommend letting the man pursue you.

Technically he should call after 2 days. It wouldn't hurt for you to call/text him once, but after that it's his turn/job. Sorry if this doesn't work out... welcome to every guy I try to date.

No don't call him. If he wanted to call you he would or ask you out on email he would. For some reason he seems to be playing a game and you don't need that... I'm reading a book called Boot Camp for the Brokenhearted (just told another member too) and it has helped me to see men and relationships very clearly... I already feel better about myself and don't have time anymore for B.S.! (I think it's by Audry Valeriani).

I think life it too short to sit around and wait for it to happen. Don't be afraid to go with your gut...it probably knows more than you think it does!

I think it's unfair that men have to call because they're men. Men and women should take equal shares of the relationship. If you want to talk with him, call him. But if he doesn't respond half the time then move on. You should certainly do your part - but you shouldn't do all the work.
