You're so silly Mashi, but it makes sense lol. We do have a betta right now. He's actually a 'replacement' for one we got for my son (who is almost 5). It had fungus and died 8 days after we got it. We've had this guy for about 6 weeks now and he's really settled in.

Sugar, our betta has a turquoise body and fins/tails (more like a seafoam colour) with half mauve fins/tail and a black & flesh marbled head. The card for our camera is full, and we're moving in a few weeks so no pics for a while yet. My son is pretty amazing. I explained to him what was happening, (that the fish was sick) and being so young he just asked "can we name the next one Sugar too?"
I'm so happy for you, it sounds like Redfish is really coming around.

My betta brings all the fish to the bowl and they're like "It's betta than yours!"

Yes...I confess my betta does the milkshake dance.

lol is that what it is lily? My betta has been doing some kind of weird shimmy lately, but if he's learning the milkshake then that makes all the difference lol.

He just kinda floats there and moves his tail up and down...something which I thought wasn't possible. I thought they only went side to side.
It's very cute!

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks of her bettas as little people with unique personalities. When I try to explain them to others, most people give me a strange look.. haha. My two bettas, Pico and Pica, are wonderful little companions for a girl in the military.

Pica is the red betta shown on my icon. He's like a puppy dog, not very aggressive at all. He rarely flares, instead 'dancing' around at the front of his home when he sees me, begging for food. When he notices the routine which he knows as feeding time, he'll fly across his container so fast it's amusing.

Pico is a purple male betta, my first in years.. and a very aggressive, grumpy one at that. He loves to show off and flare whenever he sees me. He'll jump out of the water and slam into my finger whenever he gets the chance, and has to constantly be covered due to his acrobatics. He's survived a long car ride from Biloxi, MS to Orlando, and then back north to Panama City without health problems.. and I'm glad. He's a funny little guy who refuses to understand who's really boss around the apartment.

Photos of Pico and Pica can be found at http://www.pbase.com/girlii/

It was very interesting reading about your bettas' personalities as well!
