This question was inspired by the thread about the color of your house.

My front door is green with an etched oval glass insert. It also has glass sidelights. I love how the sunlight shines into our foyer. But, I don't like how someone can be standing there looking in before I realize it! lol

I guess I could put up sheers, but I would miss the sunlight too much.

Donna, I love sunlight too. I wouldn't put up sheers either.

My front door is a deep blue color with a door knocker and a brass plate at the bottom.

Yep me too! Our door is white, and drafty!!! But I do love the light we get from its twin windows.

We replaced our front door when we moved into our home because it was built in the 70's and really needed it. We got a red tone front door as that's supposed to be good for your feng shui.

An ugly dark green. I love the full etched glass insert but we're going to replace the front door soon as it's old and drafty.

I was at Lowes today looking at front doors. Wow! They are getting expensive - but they sure had some beauties! I've been thinking of replacing ours so that we still have glass that is in the top but not the whole thing. That way I wouldn't feel like everyone up the street is staring down into our house, but I could still keep my sunlight. wink

They also had some clear glass storm doors with stained glass inserts. Hard to explain, but very unusual.

My door is green and made of medal, suppose to be for safety issues i guess. living in a low income housing projects i need bars on the glass part of the door.
If they want to break in i don't think these cheap medal doors will keep them out

I have wanted a new front door for YEARS. Ours is worn, plain white with an eagle knocker. I keep putting it off because in the grand scheme of things I could donate a lot of money to Kiva.org for the money it would take to replace that door. But on the other hand, it's the first thing I see every single time I come home - and it's been 13 years now. I think there's something to be said to have positive things around you - that makes you more positive and more able to enjoy life. Which then means I would have more energy to do things to send Kiva money from smile
