I just returned from a visit to see my daughter in Seattle. I spent the whole visit nursing her back to health from a sinus infection. I knew just what to do having experienced many awful sinus infections in the past, before I became an enlightened Neti Pot user. We also discovered some great soup, Tom Yum, at a local Thai restaurant, that became her favorite food during her sinus infection. Tom Yum actually is being studied because of its immune-boosting properties. Visit the Allergies and Colds page and read about how to prevent, diagnose and cure a sinus infection.BellaOnline ALERT: Raw URLs are not allowed in these forums for security reasons. I've been using sinus irrigation for about 4 years and it's been amazing how it cleared up my constant sinus infections and allergies. I use a little bulb syringe that I got for about a dollar. I put warm salt water or a little warm water with baking soda in it into a cup and use that.

I was so glad when the neti pot became a more talked about thing. I think it will save hundreds of people from taking lots of medications.

I'm glad you enjoyed the article. I started gobbling up hot and spicy soup last week because my allergies flared up so much with the cottonwood trees blooming. I'm highly allergic to cottonwood pollen and other trees too. The soup and my Neti Pot were the only things that helped me feel better. I had incredible sinus pressure and headaches, almost like a sinus infection. I was beginning to worry but the soup and Neti Pot did the trick. I also added baking soda, along with the usual salt, to my Neti Pot. Another thing that seemed to help was Euphorbium Sinus Relief nasal spray, an all natural product. Now, fortunately, the cottonwoods are all finished doing their thing and I'm over my sinus headaches until the next round of tree pollen hits me.

I just tried the neti pot for the first time yesterday and then again today. Wow. That works really well. I've been so miserable lately with constant sinus problems that I finally decided to try it. I had only heard about it hear on this site. I'm so glad I did. It's a little uncomfortable using it, but well worth the slight discomfort. Thanks for the information.

I was just reading tips for allergies and learned that it's national allergies awareness month. WHO KNEW?!

I also use the salt water neti pot. When season allergies are going to begin, I start taking Quercetin and Bromalain 2 weeks before the cedars and oaks pollen starts. Natural and works wonders. I haven't had a sinus infection in over 15 years.
Prior to using this suppliment I was on antibiotics, steroids, nasal sprays constantly. Dr. Andrew Weil has a lot of great tips.

Another Andrew Weil fan! I always go to his website for advice.

Quercetin and Bromalain works great. I used to take a natural product called AllerMax, which was made of those two ingredients mainly and loved it.
