its the time of year that I go through the grand kids toys and clothes here at Grandmas house, I put aside any clothes that I want to use in the future to put on a quilt for them when they are older of made from their favorite clothes/pajamas from growing up..and I take the toys that were once loved and make them into Christmas ornaments ...even make a wreath and give it to the parents for memories,,,over the years I have come to hang..my kids little baby shoes on the tree and I often put a little toy coming out of it or let them decorate it ,,,one way to remember and to see it once a year!
The group is mostly 7-8 year olds and we did do some crafts for Mother's Day. One of the things we made was a napkin holder using pony beads and wooden dowels. That was a bit more challenging than I thought, more because of the gluing, not anything else. They also made gift bags and votive holders for their moms. I cheated a bit and got the kits from Oriental Trading Company. They have so many cute ideas. My oldest is currently into making jewelry. My youngest is not doing much more than playing soccer, but is asking for some craft ideas. What are you doing?
