Someone from my Yoga class sent this link to me. It is one of the most profound and inspiring videos that I have ever seen. It's a female brain scientist's account of the major stroke she had. She is fully recovered and lived to tell about it. You will be amazed by her experience!

OMG Shay! Thank you so much for sharing this! It was VERY inspirational - I had tears in my eyes! What an amazing woman! And what hope she brings to the world. I'd be very interested in reading her book now.

I had tears in my eyes too! I just somehow think that if everyone in the world could see this, that there would be a shift in consciousness. Does that sound silly? I don't know - it just seems like this is unprecedented information that may change the way people think about the way they think.

Shay, I totally agree with you! In fact, I'm trying to work it into a talk I'm giving this Sunday, just in hopes that everyone there will want to go home and look at her video too!
What an amazing woman! In a way, she reminded me of Ellie Arroway from the movie "Contact" when she had to describe what it felt like to connect with aliens from outer space, and how we aren't alone, yet no one believed her.
I see that she is going to be interviewed by Deepak Chopra on some wellness radio program (I think it's on Sirius radio). Isn't that totaly cool!!! Of course, people who listen to Deepak are already into this stuff. I think it's amazing that she's getting out there and connecting with people who DON'T know this stuff.

Wow, you are using it in a talk you are giving - that is awesome! What kind of talks do you give? Are they like spiritual lectures? What a great comparison between her and the woman from Contact. You are right - it's nearly the same kind of full out invested cry to be understood. I didn't see that about Deepak - whoo hoo! I absolutely love it. I have my life coaching certification in NLP, which is accessing both sides of the brain to get yourself to react to situations differently. Nothing could illustrate the power of the hemispheres like her experience. You can see how ultimately important each side is, and yet too much of either one can really set you off balance. Thank you for sharing this, I posted it in my "Mom's who's Husbands have Depression" cafemom group. I am also going to incorporate it into my blog.
I completely agree with you, if only everyone can watch this powerful piece, what a world of difference it can make. Remember, one person spreading the awareness can make a difference, which is exactly what you did!
