Now that the snow has finally stopped falling (except in Calgary, it seems), it's time to plan ye olde summer holiday. I'm thinking of visiting family in the Maritimes. Where are you going?

We're going to Cancun for my step daughter's wedding. I'm kind of past the beachy stage of my life but I've never been to a resort so guess it will be fun.

For the money it cost tho, I'd personally have chosen a very different sort of vacation. Beach weddings are wonderful for 20-somethings but 50-somethings only dread the swimsuit shopping-lol.

Any senior anglophiles thinking of travelling off for some London fun and culture either soon or for the London 2012 Olympics might like to know about a new accessibilty book for the UK.

It has hints and trips about easy close parking, disabled access, discounts and suitable walks and tours for seniors. The Rough Guide is available from the Motability website (UK.)

We went to Jaimaca last year. It was the first time for me. I loved it. The water, the sand, the sun, the food. It was very relaxing..and almost everyone in our group was over 50.
