BellaOnline Forums Money Investing Looking to invest in Alberta Property!!!

I'm in a bit of a pickle and would appreciate any advice you can provide. What are the risks in investing in Alberta area? I want to invest in some good property there but I am not sure how to go about it. I have seen the ads of many real estate investment experts on that particular area but as I am new to the area I would like to have advices from you people to help me get a better choice.

Wait. Their is a lot more down pressure and we are not close to a balanced market, in fact we are going further away from a balanced market and there are too many houses for sale and not enough buyers.

Many are selling to move home to other provinces where the prices are lower and they can bank a lot of their profits from the sale of the house.

Others are selling because they signed on to build a house when the market was strong and are now taking possession and are stuck with 2 houses.

Our house has depreciated $50K from spring 07 and is expected to decrease another 20K during the summer.

If interest rates fall enough to make borrowing cheap again it may help to infuse cash into the market. Watch MLS.ca, once the amount of inventory starts to decrease the market may be starting to balance (hitting bottom).

Hang on It's not all bleak in Alberta!
I have some suggestions. If you want to reply, I know of opportunities that work in both, an up and down market.

We were in the same boat as you. New to the area and not sure who to trust. We came across this great company. Really easy to deal with, and who put our money to work for us. We invested with them for a year, cashed out with a tidy profit, and liked the experience so much that we just re-invested with them! And this was when the market had just come down in '07! We recommend them to all of our fiends now.

Well if your are thinking to invest in property then i will appreciate you. Now a days the investment in property means real estate investment is very good option in investment. The value price of properties is just going on increasing and investment in it will led a good future profits also. So go ahead it is very good.
