Your style sounds great. I realise that losing length is tough I bet your bob is very attractive.

HI EVERYONE,
I agree with you 100% Lynne. I went through a time in my life that I felt I was not attractive unless, I had long, straight, bleached blonde hair. But I did realize that my naturally curly hair looks much better. It is rather long too. I wasted too much time trying to change my hair. My daughter is not the type of person who likes to spend much time on her hair. So, now that she has to dry it, I don't think she will do that for long. All she had to do was air dry it before.

I can understand that people like to change their hair & looks. But some of those chemicals are very harsh. I put a luminize glaze on my hair recently by myself. I am very pleased with the results. I used it in clear. I enhanced my silver hair & blended in with every thing else. I did lighten my hair just a little bit. but I really like that it kept all of the silver. It looks like highlights.

Hellokitty, I am glad that you have a new hairstyle now. It sounds real nice. It will grow & be the length you want. I had to do the same thing twice. I had 2 different stylist's cut my hair in that mullet type of look. Your new stylist did a wonderful job. It really can give you a lift when your hair looks great. I hope that everyone has a nice weekend. Judy K. Chicago.

It depends on how curly your hair is, but I usually like them long and at the side.

I usually cut my own hair when I want it short. What I do is what we used to call the "Italian Cut". It became popular during the height of the "I Love Lucy" show. She wanted to cut her hair when they were in Italy and Ricky said "NO!" so she got a wig in the "Italian Style". Anyway, it is 3" all over the head. The trick to cutting it properly so the lengths look nice and blended is to use a rattail comb and mark 3" on the handle, pull the hair out straight from the scalp, with the comb handle on the scalp and cut where the mark is. You must pull the hair straight up on the top and gradually out to the sides as you go down the sides then out from the back as you go down the back, so all the hair is the same length all over. If you pull the back or side hair up and cut, it will be shorter, so make sure you pull it out to the side or back and not up. Is this making sense?

If you tell a good stylist you want 3" all over (or whatever length) then you get a really nice layered cut that does not look shaggy.

To grow it out, I just keep trimming the bottom only till all the hair has grown out and I have a short 'bob'. Then I let it grow longer before trimming the bottom again.
