What are some movies you can think of that have child free couples in them?

In The Thomas Crowne Affair, the main couple is *fantastically* sexy and smart, but I never got any sense at all that they cared about having kids. They just wanted to live with each other and have fun. Did you get that sense?

In A Fish called Wanda, Wanda runs off with the lawyer to Argentina I think. I didn't get the sense that they were going to settle down and start a family. More likely they were going to buy a yacht and sail around the world smile

Mr and Mrs. Smith - they were married for like, I think, 6 years, with no talk of "when will you be having kids?" Granted, they were secret agents, but still they were attempting a normal exterior, so this counts.

I like Kate and Leopold... They're just in love... No talk about having to have kids.

I haven't seen the whole movie, but in Hanging Up, Cloris Leachman gives a very stirring CF monologue.

So I Married an Axe Murderer - very funny movie with Mike Myers where the married couple has no talk about procreating. They had a very nice relationship when MM wasn't worried about whether or not his new bride was going to kill him. smile

Moonstruck - I never had the idea that Cher and Nick Cage were going to have children. It never seemed to come up. And in an Italian family, it mostly would have.

Down With Love - The main characters were all focused on their careers, traveling all over the world seemingly on a whim, and out on the town every night. The minute Ewan McGregor's character mentioned kids and a house in the suburbs, Renee Zellweger's stormed out. Other characters feared they'd have to give up their careers if they got married, and only got engaged after being assured this was not the case.

In Casablanca there weren't any kids. Ingred Bergman, Humphrey Bogart and Paul Henreid all had quite a bit going on without them.

In the Miami Vice movie that came out in 2006 Jamie Fox and his wife don't have kids. I don't really remember any kids in the movie either.

Many of the older movies with Humphrey Bogart, Katherine Hepburn, Audrey Hepburn, etc. don't have kids in them with couples or individuals either. It seems kids are rarely mentioned in most of these movies.

Nick and Nora Charles were a famous detective couple, of "the thin man" fame. They were wealthy, elegant, and I don't believe they ever had kids. They just jet-setted around enjoying life and solving murders.
