BellaOnline Forums Relationships Married No Kids What has happened to our forum?

Free - nope it was in light of complaints from other CF'rs. I, being CF :0) have flet at times there was a level of hostility and almost hatred here in the forums. There have been times some terms I didn't agree with and voiced it (breeders was one of them)... however, i knew that I must keep a level head and that some people don't realize some terms may be offensive and the way to educate them is to talk to them.

I am hoping this will all settle down in the coming weeks and we can get back to being our CF loving selves.

I never would have thought breeders was offencive! Most of the Mothers in my family call themselvies breeder when they have more then 2 kids...and they wear it like a badge of honor... It must be a family thing... Sorry I really didnt know the term bothered anyone....

well I did kind of use the term to label the bad parents...like the ones in my family... I just didnt think anyone would know that it was a slap instead of a complement.... Ouch the truth hurts! Sorry I never ment to offend the good parents out there or the cf either...

I haven't been here for some time, but I appreciate that some of the negative words will no longer be used. Jase, I agree with you, as I have said before, that some "terms" were offensive. I have only come here occasionally to show support for all the people who chose to be CF. It will be nice to come again and actually feel welcomed.

I always thought that the MNK forum was very interesting and have come in to respond on threads as well. I was never offended by anything being a breeder myself and I never realized the issues that CF people have with people thinking you all are weird or abnormal for not having kids.

I never thought about thinking anything weird about people who do not have kids. I always thought it was just a lifestyle decision but never read anything into it.

Your forum will be just as strong as it was. Heck in my forum I only have about four regular posters but I know it will pick up eventually. Meanwhile the object is just to have fun and join in on some hot topics when they are there.

I wondered where everyone went too. I kind of quit posting for a while here because I would get so ah....[censored].... there are a lot of things I have to put up with from real life and I dont need to be in flamed anymore then I already am...but on the other hand sometimes I just need to vent! Why didnt some one pm me and tell me that my choice of wording was offencive? I would have been nice... I hope! I dont get offended easily and I just assume people will tell me that I am being offencive and explan what I said-did that was offencive... In small town Tx there are alot of things said and done that you dont see in big towns or other places...

I'm not CF but i enjoyed coming in here just to read the posts i have not been offended by any one. I hope this all settles down so every one can be comfortable. I also live by, "if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen" ( did i say that right)

I'm not CF either, but like skyhaven, I enjoyed coming here on occasion because of some of the interesting posts that I would see and some of them were pretty funny. I think we've all had our moments at one time or another where we didn't like certain things someone may have said in here, but it is a disappointment to see so many leave the forum including my good friend too.
I used to log in here everyday just to get their messages and follow up with posts etc. Now I log in everyday and still enjoy alot of the posts, but I miss my friend alot.

I just wish it wouldn't have come to all of this in the manner that it did.

As Jase said, hopefully everything will calm down and the forum will be as good as new within the next few weeks.

I can honestly say that I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't found this forum. It is great to know that there are other people out there who wish to remain CF just like me!

This forum is for people who either don't have, or don't like kids, for whatever reason. The fact is, these days most of the people who do have kids ARE nothing more than breeders, including my own husband. This fact is made evident to me every time I go out in public. MOST of the kids I see are acting like little heathens, with the 'parents' looking on in complete oblivion. I cannot understand why anyone who has any interest in this forum would be offended by what is said here. This is not a forum for 'kid people'. If we can't tell it like it is, what's the point?
